1/2 hours. For road users the M2 motorway is a direct and
fast link from London, as is the M20, via Folkestone, for
visitors travelling from south of London. A20, A2 and A256

about 2 hours.
The bus service in Dover is provided by Stagecoach East Kent
and is very efficient. Walking around Dover can be a little
Daunting as most of the traffic is either heading for or coming
form the Docks.
The Dover Ferry Port has been in existence for many centuries.
The world's busiest ferry port operates 24 hours a day 7 days
a week, as millions of passengers pass through the town to
continental Europe or arrive from Europe to visit England.
While in Dover you can take a trip to France on one of Dover's
ferries, operated by P&O Stena, SeaFrance, Norfolk Line,
and HoverSpeed. The Eastern Docks is the main port for trips
to France, and the Western Docks receives international cruise
liners.
Traditional ferries cross to Calais (France port) in approximately
1 hr 20 mins, the catamarans take about 40 mins. New Super
SeaCats promise to take 35 mins. You will need to check in
30 mins prior to departure and don’t forget your passport.
