Oxford

Oxford is famous throughout the world as a centre of learning. Thirty seven thousand students study here during the academic year. Famed for it’s dreaming spires, It’s a very special city and an immensely attractive place to study and live.

Throughout the year the city hums with theatrical and musical activity. Other entertainment includes cinemas and night-clubs, and there is live pop music, folk and jazz in many of the pubs and clubs. Oxford is often referred to as a student paradise.


Oxford University Museum

Oxford's main streets are always bustling. There is an excellent shopping centre as well as a variety of cafes and restaurants.

The river Thames runs through the city providing water activities such as rowing, punting and cruising. Cycling is a very popular pastime and is also regarded as an alternative form of transport. The county of Oxfordshire is one of England’s most scenic areas, the Chiltern hills run along the south east of the county and the beautiful stone buildings of the Cotswolds are to be found to the west. The Oxford Tube bus service provides coaches to London every 12 minutes, the journey takes one hour.
