Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is renowned for its friendly people and natural beauty. There's plenty worth seeing in Northern Ireland... you can cruise in style in the Fermanagh Lakelands, follow the high roads through the Mournes or cycle casually around the Causeway Coast.

With a population of approximately 300,000 people, Belfast is a city steadily reaffirming its status as one of the top destinations with travellers. The troubles which plagued it for over three decades have now become a thing of the past.

Its chief industries are tobacco and food processing, the manufacture of aircraft, tools and machinery and, most famously, ship building. Titanic was built here. It has also been the capital of Ireland’s linen industry for years.

Thanks to a large student population it has a vibrant nightlife and a host of restaurants to suit all budgets. Its Victorian architecture make it one of one of the most pleasant cities in Europe to stroll around for a day, despite what you may have previously perceived.
