What are the best Tourist Places in the UK?
I’m from Australia and I’m planning on spending around 3 months in the UK in december – february in 2010/2011. What are the best places towns/cities for tourists to go to? and how long should i spend in each place? I want to travel all around England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. I want to see all of the famous landmarks, and especially castles.

I spent winter (Oct – April) in the UK. By some fluke, there was a week where it was sunny in Wales, in February. And I was THERE. I saw Portmeirion in Wales, where they filmed the Prisoner. Wales is quite amazing but I recommend you rent a car.
