Cardiff Bay

The old waterside of the docks area of Cardiff has undergone a dramatic change in recent years. Today this area is packed with smart cafe's, bars, shops, resturaunts and a host of activities for the visitor. Cardiff Bay is Europe's most exciting waterfront development.

Cardiff Bay is home to a number of attractions such as Techniquest Science Discovery Centre - ideal for all the family, Craft in the Bay, The Welsh Assembly at the Pierhead, Butetown History and Arts Centre, Cardiff Bay Barrage, Cardiff Bay Visitor Centre, Goleulong 2000 Lightship, the Norwegian Church Arts Centre and the brand new Wales Millennium Centre, a stunning and international arts centre.

Directions

By Car: From outside Cardiff: Leave M4 at junction 33 and follow signs for Cardiff Bay on the A4232 dual carriageway.

From within Cardiff: Follow signs from city centre to Cardiff Bay.

There is car parking at Mermaid Quay and at the Atlantic Wharf Leisure Village.

By Bus: 7, 7A from Churchill Way; 8 from Heath Hospital or Central Bus Station, stand W3

By Rail: Regular service from Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay Station - 5 minutes' walk.
